About Chuck Solt

Mission and Qualifications

Mr. Solt offers thirty-six years of professional experience in the development of air emission regulations, environmental permitting, selection and optimization of combined power and thermal systems, economic feasibility analysis, and regulatory compliance.  The focus for his expertise is air related issues, primarily relating to the application of power generation equipment.  He has directed and managed all elements of air related environmental engineering activities and his responsibilities have included supervision; project management; monitoring regulatory agency requirements;  consulting to clientele regarding air quality issues.

Chuck Solt's objectives are:

Environmental

Chuck was in charge of product environmental compliance for one of the largest gas turbine manufacturing companies for 11 years, during which he influenced the development of the NSPS and other federal, state and international regulations. 

During his 4 years as a consultant, he assisted many clients in regulatory compliance and rule development including providing written comments, and sworn testimony and representation in workshops.

In his last position, he provided regulatory and analysis functions for a company who was bringing a new pollution prevention technology to market. 

Energy

Prior to his involvement in environmental issues, Chuck prepared market studies and regulatory services for a major gas turbine manufacturing company.  He participated in the development of the National Energy Policy in 1977 through the implementation of the resulting legislation into the early 1980s.  Most of his environmental work has been for power generation technologies and projects.
